These images are from the sculpture studio, taken after carving
but prior to all sandblasting, including dusting of die portion,
lettering and any shapecarving. This allows the dealer/manufacturer
to participate in final detailing of the job while reducing sculptor
charges.

Sculptor's comments/Job details
"This job was conceived as a pre-need item, referencing a job
carved many years earlier for a predeceased family member of this
customer through the same dealer. While certain details were
slightly modified by the sculptor with customer permission, the
overall motif is fully retained- including all dimensions and layout.
"Judicious development of traditional detailing has produced a
memorial likely to appear to be the inspirational, and not the
inspired, job. The customer was thrilled to see hand-axed detail
demonstrating gracefully flowing individual strands of hair and
feathers bent by the passing breeze.
"This job was fully hand carved using chisels with no
sandblasting, shape carving or die/diamond grinding. Like
this one, many of the jobs I produce are carved via direct
methods, referencing only photographs and dealer-provided measurements
of existing sculpture, without the added expense of a job-specific
model. Such jobs can be subtly adapted and customized, creating a
monument or memorial personalized to satisfy your needs."
