"Commissioned by her mother, this project was inspired by a favorite icon of the memorialized daughter. Working from the daughter's painting and with multiple images including antique statuary catalog selections, a prayer book, and a framed wall hanging, this icon was adapted and hand carved in granite.

"Many of the works I have produced are personalized to satisfy the patron's needs, referencing favorite images & objects. They have varied from professional regalia & favored pets to religious icons. Designs are then coordinated to produce a durable and lasting carving in stone, with certain subjects being better suited for execution in bronze or similar media."
