Process
Work is produced to meet the needs of the client. As a carver, I am comfortable recreating requested motifs. As a sculptor, I offer original works wholly conceived by me. Most projects require a combination of these two perspectives. Many times a client's simple original drawing, often only a stick figure or inspirational image of an existing work, starts the process.
Different stones offer unique qualities, be it affordability , durability or practicality for a specific project application. Stone may not be the best choice for a project. Bronze or another metal can be an option. Sometimes a more economical media, such as plaster, resin or wood, can be substituted for a more expensive media as a temporary or even permanent installation.
There can be many ways to achieve the final result within a patron's budget. Carolina Sculpture Studio is qualified, experieinced and well-equipped to service these needs. The form is still the same, no matter the media.
